first post + future OOTD [ Monday December 7th, 2009 at 12:27am ] fatshionista [eimajunknown] hello all =] fluorescing referred me to this community. i just joined a few days ago and decided tonight it was time to post my first entry. she and i went on a shopping spree this weekend that included obscene amounts of money spent at old navy, target and torrid, among other places, and it netted me several outfits that are suitable for work and/or special occasions. unless i'm forgetting something, here's my tally: five dresses, three camis, two pretty tank tops, four hoodies, seven cardigans, six sweaters (though i've been told by two people that these are merely long-sleeved shirts), one t-shirt, a pair of tights, two scarves, a pair of mittens, a belt, two purses and three bottles of perfume. one of my college friends is getting married in two weeks, and this is what i plan to wear: ( future OOTD ) 4 mad. Question... [ Monday December 7th, 2009 at 2:15am ] abandonedplaces [dark_fetus] [ mood | curious ] Hello group. I have a question to ask all of you... There are some places I wish to post here, however I do not wish to disclose their names. All the historical information will be included and factual, but I would like to use an alias. Additionally, if I make a post in which I am using an alias, I will state it up-front. My reasoning for this is that I recently made an entry about a location (not on here, on my myspace page) which was taken and posted to an "Urban Explorers" website. The location was then ransacked... The entry has since been removed from the site, but the damage is done. I now feel guilty to have brought such damage to this place I wrote about. A place, which until I photographed it, sat safely and quietly in the woods. My feeling are that if I'm doing a dis-service to the location, then what I am doing is counter-productive. I wish to share these places out of respect to them, and the history they represent. Most, if not all, of you here treat these places with a high regard. This is made obvious by the passion in which you all write, be it as a post or comment. I greatly enjoy the feeling of "community" here, and hope my inquiry does not offend anyone... Just wanted input. If it is a problem I will simply not post the locations. Also, I forgot to post this image with my Bennett School entry. Fedex bullies [ Monday December 7th, 2009 at 3:03pm ] daphneosena . There are only two situations when I feel helpless. One is when I'm getting my hair and makeup done and have absolutely no control of the situation. And second is when I'm waiting to receive a package from Fedex. Bullies. There's no room in this world for bullies. I've been expecting a package since Nov 18 (internationally). No one from Fedex called to say that they were holding it in customs for clearance. I know the rules and I play by the rules. But since when did a US$250 item get taxed P9,000? Is that normal? No one from Fedex called. Everyday I had to call to ask about my package. I talked to Grace, Lara, Rap Mallari, Ariel Castaneda, Kevin, and today Marvin. Long story. The short version is, by Friday they said they were able to reduce the tax to P4,500. I didn't want to argue anymore. I just wanted/needed my package. They said they couldn't deliver on Saturday, so they'd deliver Monday (today). Yesterday, Sunday they delivered. We were not home. I didn't leave P4,500 cash at home. So they took the package back. I phoned. They said they'd come again Monday (today). It's almost 3pm and still no package from Fedex. I phone. I get put on hold and passed around. Still no package. They said it didn't make cut off. Cut off? And they're charging me storage fee. I need that package. I was in tears. Wish me luck, I'm on my way to the Fedex office to pick up the package myself. I'm bringing my Flip cam and documenting this whole ordeal. Why does it have to be this way here? Can't simple procedures just work normally? Why do we have to "know" someone or name-drop just to get things moving? I refuse to bribe anyone. I feel like this is extortion. And a really slow one... . 6 mad. We're all mad here.
